F lfte~ days we~e now paíl: ,lince the ·Rebellion firíl: began, when Hemande'G finding himfelffire·ngchened wich a.number of Souldiers, and dreaded by ali, for the cruelcy he had execuced on Don Balrafar de Caftill.a, he chought ic now time to forcifie his amhoricy (as he foolifhly imagined} with fome fpecious name ahd title, which mighc found greac in the ears of che people; who feeing him owned by che City wllich was che Metropolu of che Empire, mighc be more ~afily induced to follow his caufe and defigns, which he knew not himfelf what they were, or what they were likely to prove.
