Another piece of cruelcy was che Death of Pedro de Lerma, which being in an eiüraordinary rnanner barbarous, is fit to be obferved. Lerma ( as we have faid) being forced to quic che Field, both by reaíon of che wound he had received from Hcrnando Pifarro, and ochers, which were given him in the lace Fight ; he was car- ried to the Houfe of a cercain Gentleman, who was a friend of his. called Pedro de !01 Rio1, wirh whom I was acquainced when I was very young; he was of as noble, and as ancient a Family, as any was in Cordova, of which there are many in tbat Royal City.
